Join us in April 2015 when we visit the Western Front- France and Belgium.

The Anzac Remembrance Trail

Picture

Come with us as we gather on the Western Front to honour those brave soldiers who fought and died in the Great War .
This 12 day experience takes us to the city of Amiens in the centre of the Somme region. We attend the dawn service at Villers Bretonneux where Australia soldiers were victorious in saving the small village and are now remembered for eternity.  We visit Bullecourt the site of heavy Australian loss of life.  Pay respects at the Commonwealth war graves at Tyne Cot, Polygon Wood and Passchendale. We spend time in the town of Ypres the centre of so many campaigns during the long war and where the Ancient Cloth Hall now stands as a symbol of determination.
Visit the Menin Gate where over 50 000 lives with no known grave are etched into the walls and where each night the last post is played in remembrance for the sacrifices made. We also view the Fromelles war cemetery , the latest memorial to the Australian fallen. Take a journey back 96 years at the village of  Vignacourt 12 kilometres from Amiens where recently a treasure trove of photographic memories have been found of soldiers during the campaigns and now remembered in "The House of the Australians"
